Unity
North Truth Center holds Sunday Services at their location, 5511
E. 82nd Street, Indianapolis, IN. 46250, at 10:30 a.m. . Children
are welcome and begin the service with the adults, but soon separate for
youth activities. Rev. Bettie Barta,
is the founder/minister.
We value music (vocalist Norman Brandestein pictured left), meditation and inspiration as part of our service and enjoy a 'coffee and sweets' fellowship after the service.
There are classes and activities offered throughout the week; check the calendar for details.
Also, Unity North Truth Center produces a weekly radio show, airing on WICR 88.7 FM at Sunday, 8:30 a.m. Currently we air a lesson from the Sunday service.
Membership & Spiritual Baptism
Membership in Unity is unique. The requirements are:
- a desire to grow in Spiritual Understanding
- dedication to living a happier, more fulfilling life
- active support and sustaining Unity North and the Unity Movement with your time, talents, treasure and Truth focused consciousness
Membership in Unity North makes you eligible to vote and hold a leadership role on the Unity North Board of Directors. Spiritual Baptism signals to our community that you have decide to walk the path of Truth and grow spiritually with us.
To Become a Member
- Complete a Membership Request form found on the Welcome Table and Bookstore; return to the office
- Attend the membership class, usually held one evening or Saturday morning
- Participate in the Spiritual Baptism ceremony.
Prayer
We also offer a 24-hour prayer message, a recorded message with the opportunity to leave a message or prayer request. Each request is held in prayer by the prayer ministry team, mirroring the practice of Silent Unity, the prayer service of our parent organization Unity in Unity, MO. Rev. Barta is also available for pastoral counseling and guidance upon request; make an appointment by calling the Center, 317-570-1221.
What or Who is Unity?
Unity
North Truth Center, a non-denominational Practical Christian Movement,
points the way to inner wholeness and peace through study and meditation.
The purpose of Unity North is to teach and demonstrate Truth principles
revealed through the teachings of Jesus Christ interpreted in the writings
of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore and succeeding Truth teachers expressing
the same concepts. Unity North Truth Center bases teaching on the five
core principles, "What Is Unity,"
and the 12 Powers of Man.
Unity North offers many other services.
Facility available for rent
Unity North Truth Center is also available for weddings, meetings, workshops and lectures, to groups in harmony with Unity's message. It is a space equipped with audio/visual equipment, coffee service, stage lights, and 80 seats. Call the Center office for more information and rates.
